Direct and supervise team of Network Engineering and Operations team. Plan, design, develop and implement processes that will improve efficiency and environment stability. Assist in setting project direction by analyzing project requirements and customer needs. Will be involved throughout all stages of infrastructure lifecycle including design, prototyping, implementation, modification, upgrades and maintenance. Perform Day to Day management of the DevOps team of network engineers. Manage inbound support queues for network related issues and incidents and problem tickets and report status. Manage engineering and development tasks to build/modify technical solutions. Proactively maintain the Symantec corporate network and assist with building forecasts and budgets. Report as needed to manager business goals and outcomes and manage the ecosystem of Symantec’s Cisco ACI environment. Strategically and proactively develop automation roadmaps for networking. Manage 15-30 individuals (FTE & Contract). working on-call via cell phone, including weekends and holidays. Employer will accept Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field, and five years of work experience in job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Position requires 5 years experience in the following : 1. Networking skills: TCP/IP , Routing , Switching , Firewalls , LoadBalancers , Wireless 2. Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure ( ACI ) . 3. Cisco Nexus Technologies like, Fabricpath , vPC , OTV 4. Cisco Wireless Technologies 5. Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform . 6. Network Tools : Prime, Solarwinds, ScienceLogic , Live Action, ManageEngine 7. Providing leadership to Network Engineering and Operational teams to ensure SLA’s are met and projects are delivered successfully. 8. Ensuring Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management processes are followed in the Network Operations and Engineering teams. 9. Leading the teams to ensure appropriate documentation of environment is maintained , following ITLT best practices. 10. Working with a global team in different time zones and working on-call via cell phone, including weekends and holidays.
