Direct and supervise team of engineering (development teams). Develop standards for products and/or oversee development and execution of software and/or analysis of test results. Plan, design, develop and implement processes. Assist in setting product direction by analyzing product requirements and customer needs. May be involved throughout all stages of software product lifecycle including design, prototyping, implementation, modification, upgrades and maintenance. Lead a Site Reliability Engineering team to support the Norton Consumer Business Unit’s Applications and services. Also leads the Operational processes to ensure 24x7 availability and reliability for a set of applications or services. Create detailed development plans, prioritize work assignments and assign projects based on available resources. Set clear objectives for direct reports and compare deliverables against objectives. Deliver appropriate and timely quarterly and annual reviews. Manage day-to-day decisions of project teams, including bug priorities, work assignments and work sequencing. Responsible for the technical development and management of a single complex problem and establish changes to policies which affect the team. Manages 8-12 employees. Utilizes graduate-level research and analysis skills. Employer will accept Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field and 3 years of work experience in job offered or in a Business or Computer-related occupation.
