Participate in all software product development life cycle activities. Move software products through the product development cycle from design and development to implementation and testing. Work as part of a team for the design, process, manufacturing, testing and quality of products as they move from conception through distribution. Drive all marketing and industry outreach activities for Symantec in the Cyber Insurance space, positioning Symantec as the pre-eminent partner to cyber insurers globally. Create and execute Product Marketing activities for new Cyber Insurance product offerings. Draft Opportunity Summaries, Go to Market Plans and other Product Marketing deliverables. Interact with customer staff and internal team members in Product Development, Support, Sales, Services, Finance, and other departments to ensure market requirements for viable products (and associated services and functions) are known and addressed in Product Marketing plans and deliverables. Assess and report launch activities. Work with regional team members to ensure global context for Go to Market Plans. Employer will accept Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 2 years of work experience in job offered or 2 years of work experience in a finance-related, product management-related, engineering-related, or computer-related occupation. Position requires 2 years experience in the following: 1. Communicating and driving product strategy with big data applications, direction and vision of products with customers, analysts and internal team members 2. Identifying and driving product innovations for data intensive B2B software products 3. Preparing business cases, understanding customer needs, validating market, defining requirements and facilitating product development process 4. Project management and working with cross functional teams 5. Analyzing market insights to advise Product and Strategy regarding potential technology injection, partnering and investment opportunities. 6. Conducting root cause analysis and marketing recommendations to improve business processes 7. Performing SWOT (Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities, Threat Analysis) analysis, P/L analysis and ROI analysis 8. Defining business financial requirements and developing appropriate financial analysis and reporting for strategies
