Responsible for analyzing, designing, debugging and/or modifying software; or evaluating, developing, modifying and coding software programs to support programming needs. Maintain and enhance existing code with focus on implementation. Collaborate with and assist team of engineers in writing functional, design and user interface specifications. Follow software lifecycle process when developing software. Help identify solutions to problems encountered in software cycle. Improve architecture of the Elastica CloudSoC portal written using Angularjs framework. Develop core components using best practices to handle large datasets efficiently and display various summaries. Work on integration with API from BlueCoat's and Symantec's product line. Develop new data visualizations using libraries like D3.js, Dc.js, Crossfilters. Work with backend team on developing better Python API for consumption in the front-end. Work with UI design dev on all aspects of UI/UX and styling of the components in the portal. Daily mentoring of junior engineers with code reviews. Conduct Weekly sprint planning and resource allocation. Coordinate end-to-end testing of the product with QA team. Contribute in various parts of our product lifecycle - design/planning/coding/debugging/testing. Utilizes graduate-level research and analysis skills. Employer will accept Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field and 2 years of work experience in job offered or 2 years of work experience in a computer-related occupation. Alternatively, will accept Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field and 5 years experience in job offered or computer related occupation. Any suitable combination of education, experience or training is acceptable. Education or experience must include: 1. JavaScript 2. Data Visualizations using D3.js, Dc.js, Crossfilters 3. HTML 4. CSS3/SCSS 5. Linux 6. Python (Django) 7. Mongodb 8. MVC framework (Angularjs) 9. Handling and displaying large amount of data in web app, browser performance optimization 10.
