Work closely with engineering members, managers, and leads, product managers, ensure rapid execution and on time, high quality delivery of software projects. Facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings. Possess conflict resolution, do conversation by focusing on scrum values of openness, honesty and respect. Forecast the numbers of deliverables possible in an iteration, which is based on evidence and reliable source. Act as the expert in estimation and planning. Create useful, reliable and practical plans for software development projects. Coach in Agile practices and coach individuals and interactions over processes and tools. Help team or individual to clarify goals and actions to achieve them. Shield team from outside distractions and interferences. Ensure the correct use of scrum process. Track and remove impediments. Lead one or more teams of developers through the Scrum or Kanban development life cycle process. Work in cross functional communication, technical project management, soliciting requirements, retrospective analysis and correction of the life cycle process, and defect tracking. Define lifecycle metrics to drive process improvements to meet lifecycle process goals. Represent the team at the release level to report status to senior leadership for product delivery, Agile process improvements, and Product Development Excellence (PDE) goals. Coach to peers and Agile teams on Agile best practices. Transform teams from current traditional software development lifecycles (such as waterfall) to Agile. Focus on Agile teams responsible for improving security efficacy of Symantec products. Employer will accept Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field and 3 year(s) of work experience in job offered or 3 year(s) of work experience in a computer-related occupation. Alternatively Employer will accept Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field and 5 year(s) of work experience in job offered or 5 year(s) of work experience in a computer-related occupation. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Position requires 2 years experience in the following (if have Bachelor’s) (if have Master’s will accept graduate coursework, project, internship or thesis in the following): 1. Agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum or Kanban including iterative and incremental development 2. Coaching skills to have teams adopt Agile frameworks including reaching consensus 3. Using Agile (Scrum or Kanban) to deliver software products 4. Overseeing Agile activities including standups, demos, retrospectives, sprint and release planning 5. Tracking product release and sprint progress and reporting status to upper management 6. Communicating with stakeholders including management to obtain alignment on developed project release plans and milestones 7. JIRA 8. Big data/nosql systems, cloud platform, and distributed system experience 9. Resolving issues in data quality, data management and governance 10. Working with onshore and offshore teams 11. Programming languages: Java
