Analyze engineering, business and/or other business intelligence issues for application to Symantec solutions; and/or provide operational support in the development and implementation process of computer software applications, systems or services. Responsible for oversight, management and integrity of Symantec’s processes, including but not limited to: ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Asset, Capacity, Availability and Knowledge Management); GSO (Information Security); HR (Human Resources) and Finance (Payroll, Procurement Office, Accounts Payable). Work on architecture and design of projects involving ITSM Applications, Service Catalog Management, Configuration Management and process orchestration and automation workflow. Oversee management to ensure that the ITSM processes provide a robust Service Management environment to support business-beneficial results while mitigating risk to Symantec’s critical business operations. Establish system strategy and requirements for ITSM tools through analysis of existing enterprise-sale infrastructure system elements (as-is) and planned changes to these elements (to-be). Develop tool architectures to fully support present requirements while considering future cross-functional needs and interfaces. Provide direction and support to tool developers across process and technology (hardware, software, network communications) designs and implementation. Ensure systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for open systems architectures as they apply to the implementation and specification of information management solution of the application platform, across the Application Program Interface (API), and the external environment/software application. Ensure that the common operating environment is compliant with Symantec’s enterprise architecture and applicable reference models. Evaluate analytically and systematically problems of workflows, organization, and planning and develop appropriate corrective action. Provide daily supervision and direction to staff. Identify industry trends, processes, tools and methodologies within ITSM and establish a roadmap that drives innovation across the enterprise. Responsible for the overall direction and implementation of Symantec’s proprietary ServiceNow (ServiceExchange) technology.Oversee, lead & implement strategic Symantec initiatives involving ServiceExchange. Synergize, harmonize and integrate Symantec’s security products within ServiceExchange. Employer will accept Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Business, or related field and 2 years of work experience in job offered or in a computer-related or business systems-related occupation. Alternatively, Employer will accept Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Business, or related field, followed by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or in a computer-related or business systems-related occupation. Position requires the following 2 years experience in the following: 1. Creating technical definition around customer objectives in complex situations, and develop solution strategies; 2. Defining and delivering the High-Level Design of Software, Systems and Tools (ie Architecture); 3. Leading application design, integration design, User Experience and development; 4. Experience with (breadth and depth) industry trends and directions related to Design, Development, Testing, Operations; 5. Transforming technical capability to business value, take business requirements and transform into technical solutions; 6. Experience in Java, JavaScript, BMC Remedy, Web Services (SOAP/REST), Powershell, ASP, JSP, PHP, HTML 5; 7. Interfacing with cross-functional teams including (but not limited to) IT, Legal, InfoSec, HR, Finance, Product Development, etc as well as with individuals at the C-Suite level down to the Individual Contributor level; 8. Training and mentoring junior engineers; 9. Experience with integrating Symantec’s security products and tools to SaaS, PaaS and IaaS environments via middleware technologies; 10. Experience with ServiceNow development platform, application modules and the associated processes 11. Architectural experience, development experience & integration experience within the ServiceNow platform; 12. Technical implementations and business processes within Governance, Risk and Compliance Management. 13. Corporate mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
