Analyze engineering, business and/or other business intelligence issues for application to Symantec solutions; and/or provide operational support in the development and implementation process of computer software applications, systems or services. Will assist in software development and analysis of IT matters. Responsible for administration and SFDC Sales/Service applications and functions including defining WFs, Approval Processes, and Email Templates. Customize Standard SalesForce Objects. Create and manage SalesForce custom objects and Fields. Will be responsible for SalesForce security model - roles, profiles, sharing rules. Convert business requirements to technical solution. Will be responsible for out of the box SFDC objects such as Accounts, Contact , Products, etc. Work independently and establish a direction or strategy and provide guidance to more junior Business Analysts. Provide subject matter expertise for business customers and technical resources. Maintain awareness of business process and technology solution best practices within a specific business segment. Responsible for business requirements collection from which applications can be developed or modified. Engage and may lead the business customers on business processes and practices associated with the IT systems that implement, support or enable those processes and practices. May lead collection and analysis of data and information from business users to understand how systems can solve business problems, and identifies opportunities for process improvement. Engage and may lead in collection and analysis of possible project engagements, documenting project scope (objectives, deliverables, critical success factors, assumptions, global and regional considerations, and resource requirements), prioritization, cost/benefit, potential risks, and feasibility. Engage and may lead in the definition of work and project scope, objectives and business requirements and the research and selection of potential solutions. Produce and may lead the definition and review of the content for user guides, training classes, and other end-user documentation for applications and processes. May lead the development of functional test scripts representing business processes and the verification activities that ensure that solutions meet business requirements. Responsible for functional testing scenarios at both business and technical level participation. May determine the appropriate level of customer engagement in testing activities. Engage in and may lead testing activities and ensures that customer interests are represented in all testing stages. Responsible for traceability of requirements, translation of business and system requirements into functional and technical specifications. Alert team leadership when traceability appears weak, or is lost. When changes to the requirements occur, perform the impact analysis and recommends follow-through actions. Forge a network of beneficial relationships with all levels, including management, within IT organizations and the customers of IT in order to establish mutual trust and provide a foundation for high level project partnership. Initiate and develop working relationships with internal groups and outside contacts with frequent interaction as a key priority. Prepare documentation and presentations, and chairs meetings. Apply influence, negotiates, and mediates discussions needed to make progress towards achieving business goals and objectives. May lead conflict resolution activities. Understand the business needs at a strategic level and can correlate problems to one or more processes, tools or systems. Understand multiple customer contexts (business processes and IT infrastructure and tools). Recognize ramifications of a customer’s problem relative to those multiple customer contexts. Manage customer expectations at all levels. Define and may lead the activities to ensure those expectations are met.May occasionally represent the organization on specific issues. Promote IT customer development of measurable business objectives and process improvements. May lead work with audit authorities to develop compliance controls. Provide second level support, relating to business applications and processes, and escalation support for aging unresolved issues. May lead interactions with third parties including application service providers and partners. Employer will accept Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Business, or related field, and 2 years of work experience in job offered or in a computer-related or business systems-related occupation. Alternatively, Employer will accept Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Business, or related field, and five years of work experience in job offered or in a computer-related or business systems-related occupation. Position requires 2 years experience (5 years experience if have Bachelor’s) in the following: 1. Software Development in the IT industry 2. Administering/Customizing SFDC Sales/Service could applications. 3. Experience in SFDC Administration functions such as defining WFs, Approval Processes, and Email Templates 4. Customizing Standard SalesForce Objects. 5. Creating and managing SalesForce custom objects and Fields. 6. Writing, Debugging, testing, deploying Apex classes, triggers and Visual Force pages, SOQL. 7. SalesForce security model - roles, profiles, sharing rules. 8. Converting business requirements to technical solution. 9. Out of the box SFDC objects such as Accounts, Contacts, products 10. Sales (Opportunities, Quoting) & marketing (leads, campaigns) business processes 11. Customizing APTTUS CLM
