Analyze engineering, business and/or other business intelligence issues for application to Symantec solutions; and/or provide operational support in the development and implementation process of computer software applications, systems or services. Define and agree on release and deployment plans with stakeholders. Scripting and Release automation of the release deployment processes and provide leadership on Release automation strategy. Ensure all projects and maintenance events are phased into the appropriate release cycle. Identify, release and system dependencies and order of precedence by working with SA, NOC, application development, and QA. Communicate with BA, QA, SA, Network Operations Center and application development around release activities and timeline. Prepare release packages consisting of a set of related assets and service components that are compatible with each other. Ensure that all release and deployment packages can be tracked, installed, tested, verified, and/or uninstalled or backed out if appropriate Ensure that integrity of a release package and its constituent components is maintained throughout the transition activities and recorded accurately in the Change Management System. Ensure that organization and stakeholder change is managed during the release and deployment activities. Utilizes graduate-level research and analysis skills. Employer will accept Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Business, or related field and 2 years of work experience in job offered or in a computer-related or business systems-related occupation.
